Work featured in TIME Magazine / I am working on a photo book presenting the American Civil War in color!
My work can be seen in the latest issue of TIME Magazine! I have also been featured with an article about my work in their photo blog Lightbox, with new colourized photos of Lincoln! Do check it out: http://lightbox.time.com/
Like the article says, I am currently making a book which will focus on the American Civil War!
While this unfortunately means I currently can’t take any more private/commercial colourizing commissions, you will soon have a historical book which, by the first of its kind, will truly bring you back in time! Stay tuned on Facebook or Twitter for progress updates and sneak peeks about the book!

Hi,
The work is amazing! I’ve never seen such a
natural look on colorized photos. Usually,
colorizing destroys the photos. Yours look so
natural and of their time. Brilliant work.
I would love to know more about your approach, your technique
Peter
As a former photo editor I am astounded by your work. You have a great talent. I would like to ask one question: your finished pictures are perfect and amazing. I do not mean to criticize that. However, it is the case that most photos, even in color, will suffer from shortcomings due to inadequate lighting or color casts. Even modern cameras can not totally compensate for these ill effects. I suggest incorporating some imperfection in each of your photos, to capture a sense of reality. Ah, but here is my question: could you bear to do so? And, if you did, would it be less honest than the colorization in the first place, since it would be in a sense a form of counterfeiting to include the imperfection? Since a perfect photo can not exist, your perfect colorizations in effect label themselves as art.
